Database

The aim of this project is to build a database of minorities in the mathematical sciences. This database can use used to increase the visibility of and identify members of the minority mathematical community for the purpose of

• promoting connections between members of the minority mathematical community based on geographic location and research interest,

• fostering diverse research communities, and

• increasing representation of minorities in the mathematical sciences at conferences and workshops, in leadership positions, for awards, etc.

We encourage individuals who identify as members of the community of underrepresented minorities in mathematical sciences to register and create a free profile in the database. In order to make this database as effective as possible, we request that profiles be maintained regularly with as much up-to-date information as possible.

The CMMS database is meant to be a useful and easy tool for connecting with and increasing the visibility of minorities in the mathematical sciences. If you have suggestions or comments to help improve the function of the database, please visit our feedback page.
